Ty, Glad to hear we don't have the same sense of humor.
I must say that I am not, here from Europe, in the best position to talk about the Oil Spill. Humor is an angle. Not yours? No matter. Reading your comment, I also believe we don't read the same press, your points (for me) are false or minor: first it is not a natural disaster, and much more important than the local economic points you give, is the "death": 15 employees died, and also the death of fauna and flora: the impacts to wildlife, animals, fish, birds and seafood in the Gulf of Mexico, is not an only issue for american economy, but will have global consequence. Already a no return point for some species.
I'd be interested to read more about the way this disaster has been managed from the beginning: wasted time with the hope to collect petrol again, the way the Management of Coast Guards has approved all (no-)decisions by BP, the way some areas are still access restricted (press), the way the same irresponsible people continue to deny evidence brought by specialists (oil carried by the Gulf Stream into Atlantic, depth "oil rivers", claims by scientists that there are large undersea plumes, ...). The impact on this disaster will be unseen, unpredictable, and unfathomable.
